Disneyland!

These pictures are a little old, but I wanted to post them anyways. :) These are from the Disneyland Challenge in 2008. We went right before my birthday in September and had a blast.

Getting ready to spin on the teacups. Good thing neither of us get motion sickness.

Sneaking a kiss in line waiting to have a Mad Hatter Tea Party.
Out in front of the castle. It was my dream to get married here. Maybe for our 10 year anniversary we'll have a "vow" renewal. ;)
Die Zerg! Lol.
Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!

Only a couple more months and we will be back in the Happiest Place on Earth! :) Then only 1 more month until the Disneyland Challenge. If you want more info on the Challenge, email me. It's a BLAST! Then we're hopefully going to meet our goal of visiting another couple Disneyland castles in Florida, Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. I love EVERYTHING Disney!

Oh and did you know that Walt Disney and his wife Lily adopted a little girl? Well now you do. :)

Colvin Family Reunion

We just got back from a great Colvin Family Reunion at Warm Springs in Nevada. It's just outside Las Vegas. It was so much fun to get to know everybody. Here are a few of our adventures. :)

There was a really nice pool that was the perfect temperature. Everyone pretty much lived in it from the time we got there until the time we left.

Here's a cute one of little Connor-boy riding on Uncle Robby. They were having a blast! I can't believe that Connor will be 3 soon. What a big boy! :)

When we weren't swimming, we were playing volleyball. It was hilarious to watch. Some of the Colvins are quite competitive (good thing I am too!)

The night that we were there we had a fun little program where people performed their talents and I got to learn who is in which family. It was a ton of fun and we can't wait to have another one!

A Glimpse into my mind...

I know a scary thought. ;)

I just thought I would post a train of thought that I had.

Side note:My husband and I do not communicate in the same way and he's constantly wondering how I come to conclusions. Usually this is because I voice the end result of my thoughts without going through the process. You'll understand more after my example. :)

Intro: I work in a multi level building on the 3rd floor. I am terrified of walking up/down the stairs because I am usually in heels and have a hard enough time walking across a smooth surface let alone concrete stairs where no one would find me for hours because they are so seldomly used. So, I ride the elevator. I am unusually shy around people that I do not know so naturally I like getting into elevators by myself so this is where my train of thought starts.

"Sweet! Empty elevator!"

"Wouldn't it suck if I got stuck in the elevator?" (side note again-these elevators are very creeky and are constantly being repaired so this is a legitimate fear) :)

"Would it be worse to be stuck by myself or with a crowd of people?"

Then I proceeded to remember a great scene from You've Got Mail in which Tom Hanks gets stuck in an elevator with his girlfiend/fiance and a small group of people.

"Daisies are such a drab little flower."

I adore this movie.
This is why I don't voice my train of thoughts. Most likely what I would actually voice to Robby, if he were with me, would be "I really want some flowers." He would then look at me a little strangely wondering where that came from. Well, now you know.

Once upon a time...

In honor of our Anniversary today, I wrote a little story. Enjoy :)

Once Upon a time, There lived a King and Queen

(I sure felt like a Queen on our wedding day-4 years ago today. I still feel like one for that matter)

For years, the King and Queen yearned for a child.

(Robby and nephew Jake)

(Angee and sweet Nephew David)

While they waited, they traveled far and wide.

(Horseback riding on Christmas in Yuma. It may not be that far away but I thought it was funny) :)

Their love for each other grew more everyday.

One day, they began looking for an Angel that would bring them their child.

(This is one of my favorite movies-excluding Disney movies)

They dreamt of this Angel often and prayed for her daily.

(Didn't have a picture of us praying. Go figure)

The King and Queen know their Angel is near and continue to search for her.

They pleaded with all their neighboring Kings and Queens to help find their Angel.

(This will one day have a link that goes to our adoption profile, still working on that)

One day, they will find their Angel and their lives will be overflowing with Joy.

(Our lives are already so full of joy, but I know a baby would be the magnificent cherry on top)

Inspiring Quote

This was written by Brigham Young and I found it on a blog today. Enjoy. :)

"Let me here say a word to console the feelings … of all who belong to this Church. Many of the sisters grieve because they are not blessed with offspring. You will see the time when you will have millions of children around you. If you are faithful to your covenants, you will be mothers of nations. … and when you have assisted in peopling one earth, there are millions of earths still in the course of creation. And when they have endured a thousand million times longer than this earth, it is only as it were the beginning of your creations. Be faithful, and if you are not blest with children in this time, you will be hereafter." (In Journal of Discourses, 8:208.)
